| History | Our School started up for many reasons, but one of our main reasons, was we wanted our children
not to loose contact with their culture and also their language. In the Samoa community here in
ACT, we value very much our culture and our language. In our homes we speak our language and
most of our parents communicate in our language with our young ones. We feel there is a need for
our language to be taught, due to the increasing number of families that have come into the ACT
community and they all believe in allowing the language to be taught to there children. The ACT
community may benefit from our school thru activities that we do and also learning our culture and
language. We aim to make sure the children will enjoy learning our language and also that they have fun while leaning. |
