In the Scandinavian school, we teach Swedish which is the language spoken in Sweden, but also as a minority language in Finland. At present, there are no classes in the other two Scandinavian languages, Norwegian and Danish.
Sweden is situated on the Scandinavian peninsula in northern Europe. Part of Sweden is north of the Polar Circle, which makes that in summer (June-July), Sweden benefits from Midnightsun when the sun does not set. This makes summer a very special season.
A short song, poem /verse, recipe (and / or popular foods eaten in different festivals), or a game from the mother country that is appropriate for young children to follow, all written in English. |
